Since founding the company in 1987, CSAT engineers have focused on providing our customers with innovative and flexible printing systems. The first printer CSAT introduced using electro-photography (EP) accounted for more than 20 years of CSAT’s business.
We are proud being able to announce that another print technology was introduced at ACHEMA 2009 in Frankfurt, Germany – the Drop-on Demand (DOD).

CSAT electro-photography – the high-end technology for the pharmaceutical industry

Electro-photography is the leading technology in digital printing systems. This process requires little marketing since the best advertisement for a product is practical experience. For decades this technology has been used in industrial applications under strenuous conditions with capabilities no other printing process offers. It perfectly combines the full digital flexibility of an office printer with the reliability and quality of an offset press. With up to 1200 dpi native (!) resolution it far surpasses the image quality of conventional printing processes and additionally facilitates printing of variable data. The automatic cleaning process of the print head which takes place in parallel to printing requires special emphasize since it eliminates production down time.
CSAT drop-on-demand (DOD) – the high end technology for label printing

	At ACHEMA 2009 CSAT introduced another printing technology – the DOD printing process. Special emphasize warrants highlighting the full color capability of this system which eliminates the use of spot colors therefore reducing cost and logistic expenditure. As a leader in digital printing technology CSAT did not rely on standard exisiting technologies. In cooperation with the DOD print head manufacturer it supported this print head development with its own practical experience. Cooperation with results: CSAT presented a DOD process exceeding the competition by a factor of two, in print speed fourfold – less with integrated print head modules.
